Don Salvador

Don Salvador coffee is grown at ~1,600 meters elevation in the Chanchamayo region of Peru. This bean comes from the farm of one of our most dear Peruvian friends, Salvador. We have known Salvador since first arriving in Peru many years ago, and we have continued to work very closely with him and his family. He is a strong Christian man who works hard to provide for his wife and four children. Salvador had a productive coffee farm for many years, but in 2010 his entire farm was destroyed by "rust", a disease that kills coffee plants. He was not able to replant his farm at the time and was forced to leave the jungle to seek work in Huancayo, the city where we live up in the mountains. Salvador approached us in 2014 about helping him to restart his farm, and we have been working on this venture ever since.
